You’ve heard it said time and again, “Visit your dentist twice a year for a check-up and a cleaning.” You may wonder ,how important is it for your child to come and visit the dentist at least twice every year? Very! Here’s why:

Regular visits to their pediatric dentist will help your child be in the habit of taking care of their teeth. At Kitsap Kid’s Dentistry, we are dedicated to teaching every child that comes through our doors how to best care for their teeth.

Not only do we teach our patients how to brush and floss their teeth, but we also make sure to inform parents of the best ways they can help! We know parents want to secure a bright, happy smile for their children throughout their childhood. We also assist parents to make informed decisions about their child’s oral health. You may have questions about any subject from dental sealants to buying the right kind of fluoridated toothpaste! We know the answers to those questions!

Dr. Banks and her team are passionate about creating a fun, comfortable environment. We desire to build strong relationships with our patients, teach them how to care for their teeth, and help parents become partners in their child’s dental health!

Studies show kids who visit their pediatric dentist twice per year continue seeing a dentist in adulthood. We want that to be your child! Teaching your child that it is normal to visit the dentist twice a year for a check-up and cleaning sets the stage for positive oral health habits when they are adults!

Children – and adults – who visit the dentist regularly and follow good oral health habits are less likely to develop cavities, gum disease, or other preventable dental issues.

Most insurance plans will cover two annual visits  for your children. There is no reason not to take advantage of this benefit! If you have questions about your dental insurance coverage, we’re here to help! We are happy to help you better understand your plan and your insurance benefits.

At Kitsap Kid’s Dentistry, we treat patients from infants to teenagers. Our doctors and team are specially trained to provide a unique, personalized approach for all children – including those with special needs. We are exited to see you… Twice a year!
